Strawberries and Cream Beauty Boosting Porridge

Chilly mornings call for soul-warming breakfasts. This porridge is filled with healthy fats and an abundance of fibre with the addition of our Complexion Protein+ powder for an extra beauty boost. You can use any berries for the compote, however, we love this special strawberries and cream combo which is a great way to up the ante on your vitamin C intake, with the inclusion of our Native Collagen Booster Powder.
Ingredients
Porridge
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 cup almond or coconut milk
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 scoop @ediblebeautyau Complexion Protein+ powder
Strawberry Compote
- 1 cup strawberries (frozen)
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or sweetener of choice
- Juice and zest of 1/2 orange
- 1 teaspoon @ediblebeautyau Native Collagen Booster Powder
To Serve
- 1/3 cup coconut yoghurt
- Extra drizzle of maple syrup
Method

Prepare the Strawberry Compote:
Place the strawberries, orange juice, and maple syrup in a saucepan and heat on medium to low for about 15 minutes until the syrup has thickened. Remove from heat and stir in the native collagen powder. -
Prepare the Porridge:
While the strawberries are heating up, prepare your oats. Place the oats, chia seeds, cinnamon, vanilla, and almond milk in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 6-7 minutes. Once it reaches a creamy consistency, remove from heat and stir in the protein powder. Add additional almond milk until you reach your desired consistency. -
Serve:
Place the warm porridge in a bowl. Top with the coconut yoghurt and strawberry compote. Drizzle with more maple syrup if desired.
