  • Actives

Pre & probiotics (Lactobacillus, Yacon Root Juice, Alpha-glucan Oligosaccharide) a pre and postbiotic complex designed to nourish the skin barrier and microbiome. This complex works to promote the balance of the skin microbiota by increasing the bacterial diversity of the skin and strengthening the skin's microbiome to reduce skin irritation, redness, dryness and discomfort. Prebiotic's provide the skin with the food it needs to assist the growth of good bacteria on the skin.

Clinical studies* on this active ingredient have shown that it:
    • Reduces feelings of discomfort such as tugging, tingling and itching
    • Increases the skin's bacterial biodiversity of the skin and rebalances microbial flora
    • Strengthens the skin's natural defences

*Based on a clinical study conducted with 10 volunteers between the ages of 22 to 54 years old, applying the ingredient to the skin for 15 days.

Postbiotics, Bifida Ferment Filtrate postbiotics are a critical component of the skin microbiome, as they are the byproduct and nutrients produced by probiotics  - effectively they are the end result of well-fed probiotics. They can be used either by the good bacteria for their development or directly by the skin. BifiDaTM is an extract of fermented Bifidobacterium which is used in our Microbiome Calming Milk. It is rich in vitamins, protein and even lactic acid which further supports the growth of good bacteria on the skin microbiome. Studies have found that it helps to support a healthy skin barrier and supports skin DNA repair, whilst hydrating and strengthening the skin’s natural defences.

Ectoin is a natural water binding amino acid derivative used in our milk to calm and soothe skin, visibly restore an unhappy skin barrier and promote a healthy skin microbiome. This powerful active, is known as an “extremolyte” as it forms inside extremophilic micro-organisms to protect them from extreme environments such as deserts, geysers and salt lakes. It is derived using a natural bacterial fermentation process undertaken in Germany. When used on skin, it has been shown to have strong protective and restorative benefits. It has been clinically shown to visibly improve the appearance of stressed, damaged and irritate skin whilst promoting skin barrier repair and long term hydration.

Magnolia Bark Extract this beautiful flower active, works to visibly soothe the skin and reduce skin redness. It contains two pharmacologically active components called magnolol and honokiol, which have been clinically shown to reduce “inflamm’aging" in skin and by doing so helps to further extend the youthful appearance of the skin.

  • Botanicals

Hemp Seed Oil is not only a nourishing oil, it hydrates without clogging pores and plumps, firms and tightens the skin for a flawless complexion. One of the stand out ingredients of the oil is the omega-6 fatty acid that it contains. Gamma linolenic acid works to encourage skin growth and new cell generation. It can help to calm irritation on the skin, including acne and conditions like psoriasis, while keeping the skin nourished and hydrated.

Davidson Plum is a native Australian superfruit, higher in antioxidants than blueberries and rich in vitamins and fruit acids. Davidson Plum contains anthocyanin, a flavonoid that prevents wrinkles, eliminates free radicals, reduces UV damage, promotes the production of collagen and improves skin elasticity. Davidson Plum also contains phenolic acids, which have antimicrobial and antioxidant properties more potent than Vitamin E. Flavone Glycosides present in Davidson Plum works to strengthen capillaries and reduce dark circles and puffiness.

Snow Mushroom is an edible mushroom rich in polysaccharides with remarkable water retaining properties, and the ability to hold nearly five times more water than hyaluronic acid. Snow Mushroom's polysaccharides also stimulate the production of superoxide dismutase (SOD), one of the most important “super antioxidant" enzymes in the body. SOD helps to protect and regenerate the skin as well as effectively prevent wrinkling and sagging of the skin. It has shown to be effective in preventing oxidative damage to skin cells as well as increasing the body's production of its own powerful free-radical defence mechanisms.
