Cellulose Acetate, is an organic carbohydrate found in plant cell walls. Cellulose has moisturising properties and acts as an emulsifier, helping other nutrients to penetrate the dermis. Cellulose is neither water or oil-soluble, making it a wonderful, gentle alternative to harsh physical exfoliants. The soft cellulose compounds clump together as you rub the product into your skin, helping to dislodge and remove dead skin cells and impurities.

Natural AHAs, are derived from Lime extract and work to exfoliate the skin to reveal a visibly brighter and smoother complexion. They work by loosening the inter-cellular fluid (gel-like substance that binds skin cells), allowing the top layer of dead skin cells to slough away easily. The exfoliant properties of natural AHAs also assist with lessening the appearance of pigmentation that has built up in surface skin, as well as dissolving impurities that may be clogging pores.

AHAs also promote skin cell renewal, causing cells to become denser and more compact, helping to prevent damage and irritation from external stressors. This also helps to prevent moisture loss and promotes a more supple and plump complexion. By encouraging skin cell turnover, AHAs help to reduce the appearance of scars, pigmentation and sun spots.

Rice Enzymes, are the key natural exfoliant in this gentle exfoliator! Used for centuries in Asian tradition to cleanse the skin, Exfoliating Rice Powder effectively exfoliates the skin without causing irritation. The chemical structure of rice enzymes is similar to the ceramides (fat) in your skin, helping to store moisture and encourage collagen production. Quandong is a potent source of phenolic acids, vitamin C, and antioxidants, making it a powerful addition to this exfoliant. Phenolic acids provide gentle exfoliation by promoting cell turnover while working to calm redness and irritation—perfect for refining skin texture without over-stripping. Vitamin C helps brighten dull skin, fade dark spots, and boost collagen production, enhancing the skin’s radiance and elasticity. Additional antioxidants (rutin and chlorogenic acid) protect against free radical damage, reducing premature aging and strengthening the skin barrier. Combined in this exfoliant, these properties work synergistically to reveal a smoother, brighter, and more resilient complexion.

Botanicals

Desert Lime Extract, is an extract native to Australia that contains an abundance of tiny pearls of potent actives (glycosides and coumarins) which work to support collagen production, improve skin hydration by binding onto water molecules and assist the absorption of the other vital antioxidants in the formula.

Wattleseed, comes from the Acacia tree native to Australia, and has anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that nourish and protect the skin from oxidative stress. Wattle Seed is extremely potent in Gallic Acid, a compound naturally rich in free radical fighting antioxidants used to prevent the signs of ageing, encouraging elasticity and supple skin. Wattle Seed has a thin molecular consistency which allows it to easily absorb into the skin. Wattle Seed is also used for its cleansing, pore refining and anti-inflammatory properties, as well as its high amino acid content which promotes youthful looking skin.

Application & ingredients

Application

Massage a small amount of Desert Lime Flawless Exfoliant over the face and neck in small circular motions. Add water to emulsify and rinse off with warm water to reveal smooth glowing skin. For maximum results use two to three times weekly.
