DIY Edible Coconut Lip Scrub
No matter the time of year, lip care is an essential part of your skincare routine! Our lips have thinner skin and fewer oil glands than the rest of the body, which means that they have no protection of their own, and need just as much, if not more, love and attention as the rest of your skin!
Your lips are one of the first places to show signs of dehydration and can become flakey and dry very easily – which is why exfoliating your lips is so important!
This DIY scrub is nourishing, hydrating and gentle on sensitive lips. Coconut oil is packed with antioxidants and fatty acids to nourish the skin. Coconut nectar acts a humectant, locking moisture into the skin, and brown sugar is used as a natural, gentle exfoliant.
Ingredients:
(1 use)
1 tsp coconut oil
1 tsp coconut nectar
2 tsp brown sugar (or any sugar you have on hand!)
½ tsp warm water
Method:
- Mix the coconut oil and coconut nectar in a small bowl.
- Add the brown sugar and water, and mix until combined
- Rub the mixture over your lips in circular motions for 30-60 seconds.
- Rinse off with lukewarm water and follow with your Goddess on the Go Lip Balm, or Green Goddess Lip Oil.
